IHI Energy Storage is dedicated to advancing the industry safety standards and is collaborating with expert industry groups like UTFRG and DNV GL to understand safety needs and leverage the knowledge when developing systems for customers. UTFRG is working to understand potential fire and explosion hazards posed by energy storage systems, evaluate safety measures and develop safety technologies that address the issues while DNV GL focuses on the evaluating system level risk-management.
